Speaker Bios:
Lisa Y. Gordon previously served as the chief operating officer for The Atlanta Beltline, Inc., where in her five years she led the development of a strategic plan, recreational trails, parks, transportation, and affordable housing among other things. Lisa was previously with the city of Atlanta as the enterprise asset manager and was the city manager of East Point for three years. Previously she was also assistant city manager in Austin, Texas.
She is a graduate of Georgetown University and has a masters of public administration from Syracuse University and a masters of accounting from Nova University. She is a certified public accountant and completed Leadership Atlanta in 2008. She also serves on Leadership Atlanta's board. Lisa is married to Rick Gordon and they have two children, Armani, 18 and Aliyah, 14.
Abe J. Schear is a partner in the Real Estate Practice. His primary practice is in the areas of retail leasing. He is the leader of the International Business Practice.
Mr. Schear focuses his practice on representing retail and office national and regional landlords and tenants throughout the United States. Additionally, Mr. Schear is actively involved in the Firm’s International Business practice, traveling extensively overseas in order to assist companies in their long term strategic needs. Mr. Schear is the Junior Vice Chair for the International Bar Association's Law Firm Management Committee. He is the co-chair of the Israeli Consulate’s Lawyer’s Committee. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL), American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and the Jewish National Fund (JNF). Mr. Schear obtained his Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Emory University.
