What: JA BizTown Volunteer Day Where: JA’s Chick-fil-A Foundation Discovery Center C Concourse of the Georgia World Congress Center When: May 6th, 2016 8:00am – 2:30pm As a store volunteer, you will guide middle school students through the JA BizTown program: JA BizTown creates an opportunity for students to interact within a simulated economy and take on the role of employee, tax payer and consumer. During the visit to JA BizTown students receive job assignments and work in teams of 5-7 at their assigned business to try and generate a profit. Volunteers serve as business consultants for the day, coaching a group students through the decisions and tasks they need to complete. Example Agenda for the Day (exact times may change dependent on the schools schedule) 8:00am Volunteer arrival (free parking & coffee is provided) 8:30am Volunteer orientation and station assignment 9:30am Student Arrival 11:30am Lunch rotation begins (free Chick-fil-A lunch is provided) 2:30pm Student Departure We hope that you can join us and help inspire and prepare the next generation to succeed in a global economy!
